This week we will continue our exploration of Defining Style by completing our Case for Mary, reading The Stolen Party, and beginning an exploration of argumentative topics.

Class Announcements
9th Lit Tutoring starts this week! It is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 5:00 pm in room 1001.  Transportation is available.
One-Pager Independent Reading assignment starts this week. You can begin reading a NEW independent reading book this week and create a ONE-PAGER due on Oct 22, 2019.

This week we will begin Unit 2, Defining Style where we will explore how an author crafts narrative texts.  We will explore a variety of narratives. We will then shift to view how authors craft argumentative texts.  
    Vocabulary will be a foundation of our unit. It will be important that you take time to independently read and study vocabulary outside of class. You can join the class Quizlet to help you:

Please make sure that you review the question stems that will be released on Wednesday.  You will also have an opportunity to start your Build a Room project due on Fri September 20, 2019.
