What is a Wisdom Curator?
According to Wikipedia a curator is, "keeper of a cultural heritage institution (e.g., gallery, museum, library, or archive) is a content specialist charged with an institution's collections and involved with the interpretation of heritage material. A traditional curator's concern necessarily involves tangible objects of some sort—artwork, collectibles, historic items, or scientific collections." As a Wisdom Curator for my classroom I am the keeper of our class culture. We have a culture were students are proactive, creative and engaged. We operate a respectful learning community where students may not receive the same things but they will receive what they need.
This is the start of my eleventh year as an educator and my sixth year at Pebblebrook High School. I hold a Bachelors in English and a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Georgia. I also hold a Masters in English Secondary Education from Columbus State University. And a doctorate in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University.
There are many things I could tell you about myself but these are five things that I just can't do without!
