This week we will explore an excerpt from Sherman Alexie's The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and how your emerging awareness of the world around you can be a spark for change. This week you will have an opportunity to explore a couple of Social Justice issues and write an expository essay about these topics. Beginning Monday, you should bring your Independent Reading book to class everyday. Later in the week, you will get your Independent Reading task and project. Please remember that you can schedule tutoring after school on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
